Music time at the Millers

Happy 7 Months

I can't believe he's 7 months old. He's just as sweet as ever, although he's into EVERYTHING. Could someone please tell him that he's not supposed to be cruising and trying to free stand yet!

Picnic at the Park

Yesterday the kids and I went to the Tot Lot (our favorite local park) with some friends from our mom's group. The kids had so much fun. Graves really enjoyed crawling around on the blanket and Liliana had a blast in the sand box and playing on the big slides with Allie who is 6. We had a picnic and enjoyed great food and great company. They were so tuckered out by the time we got home.

The life of a toddler...

Liliana is really into pretending right now. She loves to pretend play, pretend that she is someone or something, like she is going somewhere, any kind of pretending. It is really funny to hear some of the conversations that she has with herself.

Tonight after her bath, she went to work, shopping, to the grocery store, and the coffee shop. It was snowing outside and it was dark. Her imagination just goes wild!

Speaking of a big boy...

Gotta love the no shirt look.

A big, tired boy...

Poor Graves was sooo tired tonight after his bath. I think his poor pouty face is precious!

Someone forgot to tell Graves...

that he is not even 7 months old yet! This boy can move! He thinks he can stand, but still has some balance work to do :) He will be walking before I am ready!

Your daily dose...

of sibling love. I love how much they love each other!

My future musicians..

For my birthday I decided that I wanted a keyboard so that I can re-learn some basic piano skills and hopefully learn some fun music to play with Liliana and Graves. Of course Lili thinks that it is "her piano" and I have yet to convince her otherwise. Today I let her play with it on the floor in our bedroom so that I could get a little sewing done for Saturday's festival. Of course Graves had to play as well, but his method was just a little bit more adventurous.

Graves is...

One of the reason that they make 5 point harness EVERYTHING. He is absolutely into everything. I watched him finagle his way into the above position in the bath tub. He is a mess. At this rate he'll be climbing out of his crib before we know it! Watch out world, Graves is coming your way!

He's crawling now...

Boy, that didn't take him long to figure out. I was really hoping it would be a few weeks, lol. Liliana learned to crawl the week we moved to this house - like I needed her to chase after as well. Liliana is loving "brother" crawling after her. Really it is quite cute, but he's a handful and into EVERYTHING already! Boyish intuition I suppose.

Trying to Crawl

Graves has been trying to crawl this week. He is definetly moble. He scoots, rolls, and lunges to get to where he wants to go. He can go from his belly to a sitting position quite well. Liliana is having a blast trying to "teach" him how to crawl as well. (She also thinks it's funny to undress herself, thus the shirtless photo above ;) )

So much love

Liliana really loves her brother. She has been so funny lately with him. Last night she was hanging out in her chair and wanted "brother" to sit with her. Not really room, but it was sweet none-the-less.

Last Week

Nothing out of the ordinary happened last week. We stayed at home a lot, played outside, and tried to stay cool. Liliana really loves the water! She had a lot of fun playing in her pool. She made up a new daredevil game. She would jump up and fall on her bum so that she would slide a little in the pool. Such a silly goose.

Graves enjoys the outside as well. He loves watching Lili play! Next summer is going to be so much fun for him! He will definetly be giving his sister a run for her money!

Last Weekend's Tweetsie Adventure

Liliana's first time riding a ride all by herself! What a big girl!

She even rode the boats! She really like ringing the bell!

The carousel is still her favorite ride!

Driving the car with Lukie and Aunt Susan

Last Saturday (yeah, a week ago, I'm behind.) Liliana and I went to Tweetsie with Susan, Madison, and Lukie. They had a special show that week - it was Frisbee Dogs. Liliana really enjoyed the dogs - even though she was cranky and didn't want to let us know she liked it ;) Liliana had a great time and even decided that she would ride some of the rides all by herself! She rode the airplanes and boats! Another first for her was riding the cars with Aunt Susan and Lukie. She usually will not let mommy put her down. We had a great time and are looking forward to going again soon!
